Our photo booth has an inbuilt a Ring Light and an accompanying Off-Camera Strobe (Flash).

The ring light casts an even halo of light on the subject. Shadows are softer. Reducing wrinkles, blemishes, with a stunning ring reflection in the eyes. They are widely used in portraits and glamour shots. Perfect for emphasising details while minimising harsh shadows.

Why do we use an Off-Camera Strobe (Flash)?
In addition to the inbuilt ring light we offer an Off-Camera Strobe. In moving the flash off-camera, at an angle, its light bathes the subject. Shadows taper gradually into a soft gradient. Creating gentle contrast. Producing portraits with a much greater sense of depth. They brighten the entire image evenly.

Why don’t we use an On-Camera Flash?
An On-Camera Flash sits directly above or very close to the camera. They result in a “deer in the headlights” look. Projecting a front on beam of light. Emitted from a single point. Resulting in hard edged shadows with a rapid falloff. Increasing the shadows from wrinkles and emphasising blemishes. Light from an On-Camera Flash looks artificial. Producing images much brighter in the center and dimmer towards the edges.
